CTHA built a medical shed for use by sick patients who were formerly forced to wait in the scorching sun to visit the doctor. This was one of our first projects. Construction costs for the shed totaled $1,250. Patients now have a cool shady place to wait for the doctor.
In October 2016, the Canadian Tamils’ Humanitarian Association (CTHA) hosted a tremendously successful clothing and toy drive. The objective was to collect donations to send back to people in need in the underdeveloped rural communities of Batticaloa, Sri Lanka.
